Great fit around the waist (I usually prefer bib shorts, but I have no complaints here!), super-practical side pockets, ultra-comfortable pad whether riding on flat terrain or climbing—tested and approved by bloodyQueen 👌 The interchangeable pad: it really changes the game! Riding in clean cycling shorts every day is so nice!
If there’s one tiny thing to improve, it’s the three front snaps that sometimes pop open when you put the shorts back on (after a bathroom break, for example), but once I figured out the trick, it’s fine. Thanks, Wilma, for this invention/revolution!
A really great pair of cycling shorts. I hesitated for a long time between getting the version with or without straps, but ultimately went with the strapless version for an ultra—even though the detachable strap system looks great, you still have to unzip the jersey, take off the hydration pack, etc... I was worried that the waistband wouldn’t sit high enough and would dig into my waist, but no—it fits great and isn’t tight at all :) I’m right on the border between sizes M and L; I went with L and it fits, but I think M would be a better fit. I didn’t want to return them in case the M didn’t work out (worried it might be too tight around the thighs).... It’s tough not being able to try them on :/
The side pockets are very practical, and especially the interchangeable pad—it means I can bring just one pair of cycling shorts on the ultra.
Way to go, Wilma, for this great product.
I just got back from a month-long bikepacking trip with these cycling shorts, and I’m really happy with them. They’re lightweight, very comfortable, and the fit is great!
I loved the removable pad system (which, by the way, dries pretty quickly)—it’s very practical for bikepacking.
I’ve also worn them without the pads for short rides.
If I had to do it all over again, I’d happily buy the same cycling shorts 😊
This is already the third pair of cycling shorts I've bought (different models), and I really feel like this is the best one yet. The pad is comfortable, and the fabric allows you to ride without the pad without any discomfort. The cargo pocket is handy; it doesn't constrict your thighs, yet it doesn't slip either. And after a few rides, it seems durable. In short, I recommend them.
The photos on the website haven’t been updated to reflect the new version of the cycling shorts, so there are a few minor design changes but nothing to worry about :)
First, there was a sizing issue, which was resolved thanks to the awesome Wilma team; the second pair I tried on was a better fit for me (it’s better to go one size larger than you usually do ;) ).
I tested them on an ultra-distance race; they stayed in place well and were comfortable for the first 200 kilometers, but then the chamois started to chafe my butt. But don’t they all do that?
The pockets are super useful! I had a hard time finding cycling shorts without straps but with pockets—thanks, Wilma!
Overall, I’m very satisfied—I recommend them!
Thank you, Wilma, for creating these shorts: they’re highly technical, lightweight, comfortable, and the fabric is top-notch. They make you feel ready to climb mountains!
The pads are easy to replace and wash well, too.
A great product, plus exceptional customer service.
Thank you again
