Women's bodies are not a secondary consideration. They are the starting point.
It all started when I heard Anne-Laure’s story. She was training so hard that she had come to accept pain and post-period urinary tract infections as normal. I told myself: this isn’t normal. We started from scratch. We looked for materials that dry faster than the cotton in traditional panties. We had dozens of testers fill out intimate questionnaires. We failed with prototype #3 because it didn’t dry fast enough. We started over. Until we achieved that feeling of total freedom.
Bloody Queen® was born out of a simple belief: women’s bodies aren’t a problem to be fixed. Rather than asking women to adapt yet again, I wanted to change the starting point. I set out to redesign cycling shorts based on the reality of the female body—including during menstruation.
Bloody Queen® is now a global innovation: menstrual technology built directly into cycling shorts, designed to absorb menstrual flow under real-world conditions—while riding, in motion, and over extended periods.
This isn’t just an added layer of protection.
It’s a whole new approach to designing women’s cycling apparel.
No external protection. No compromise on performance. No need to adjust the body.

Sports is all about being lightweight, carbon-fiber, and high-performance. Yet no one was addressing the issue that affects all of us 80 days a year: our periods. We were told to use tampons that cause irritation or to just stay home. I created Bloody Queen® so we could stop putting up with it. It’s my way of saying: we’re here, we understand you, and we’re giving you the tools to give it your all on the road, no matter what day of the month it is.
We've all been there—when riding a bike becomes a chore
A physiological reality overlooked by sports equipment
Bloody Queen® technology — 5 layers. 0 toxic substances. 100% freedom.
We worked with textile engineers to create the perfect balance between absorbency and thinness.
Unlike traditional period panties, the Bloody Queen® period cycling shorts are designed for intense physical activity.
All of our cycling shorts feature Bloody Queen® technology
Join the revolution.
We don't want to be an exception in cycling anymore. We just want to ride.
Why is Bloody Queen® a game-changer?
Your questions about Bloody Queen®
Does Bloody Queen® really replace external protection?
Yes. Bloody Queen® is designed to absorb menstrual flow without the need for additional protection. It offers an absorption capacity equivalent to two heavy-flow tampons, distributed across the areas that are most active while cycling. None of the cyclists who tested the product for more than six months needed to use external protection.
How long can I ride in Bloody Queen® cycling shorts while on my period?
The duration depends on your flow and the intensity of your activity. In practice: up to 6 hours with heavy flow. For longer rides or very heavy flow, the Wild™ cycling shorts, with their removable pad, allow you to change it on the go.
Is Bloody Queen® effective for mountain biking, gravel riding, and road cycling?
Yes. The technology has been tested in all types of cycling activities. The micro-shocks experienced while mountain biking or gravel biking are exactly what the pad was designed for: it works under compression and during movement.
Is there a risk of odor or irritation after several hours?
No. The multi-layer structure wicks moisture away from the skin, and the technical fibers help prevent bacterial growth. No chemical treatments are added, so there is no risk of skin irritation caused by textile chemicals.
How do I wash Bloody Queen® cycling shorts?
- Rinse with cold water after your swim (until the water runs clear).
- Machine wash at 30°C with the rest of your laundry (no fabric softener!).
- Air-dry (the dryer damages the technical membranes).
Does the pad change the feel of the ride?
No. The Bloody Queen® pad is designed not to alter the feel of pedaling. Its thickness, density, and placement have been optimized to meet the standards of high-end cycling shorts.
Is Bloody Queen® suitable for all body types?
Yes. Our Bloody Queen® cycling shorts are available in sizes XS through 3XL. The pad’s position has been calibrated for a variety of body types to ensure it remains effective regardless of your size.
How long do Bloody Queen® cycling shorts last?
Between 3 and 5 years with regular use, without any loss of absorbency. The lifespan depends on how often it is used and how well it is cared for.
What is the difference between Bloody Queen® and the Wild™ system?
Bloody Queen® is the menstrual textile technology built into all our cycling shorts. Wild™ is a cycling short designed specifically for ultra-distance rides and bike tours, featuring Bloody Queen® technology in a removable and interchangeable pad system.
